2026 Field Trial Schedule (pdf)
Competitors should not enter field trials unless they are fully conversant with the current Kennel Club Limited, Field Trial ‘J’ Regulations relevant to Retrievers. These are subject to regular updates and alterations so ensure you check the Kennel Club website for updated versions.
The Kennel Club has produced a Code of best practice for Retriever field trial competitors which can be found on their website.
All event entries are to be made on this website or by post to the Field Trial Secretary, Lee Hartis – (address is on the blank entry form).
All successful WEBSITE entries will be confirmed by email. If you do not receive email confirmation let us know, or check the ENTRIES tab on the event entered. Events available for entry are listed below.

PUPPY: Open to all dogs of a specific breed(s) less than eighteen months old on the test date regardless of awards gained.
VETERAN: Open to dogs aged 8 years and over on the day of the test.
NOVICE: Confined to dogs which have not gained a place or Certificate of Merit at a Field Trial, 1st, 2nd, or 3rd in an Open Working Test, or 1st in a Novice Test held in accordance with R.K.C. rules.
